with the purpose of offering environmental protection services to businesses in
Hungary.

1.) HAZARDOUS WASTE TREATMENT AND
TRANSPORTATION
Takeover, management, collection
and road transportation of waste, especially hazardous waste.
During our waste takeover,
management and transportation services, either having suitable permission or
employing subcontractors, we take over, transport and treat non-hazardous and
hazardous waste by permitted methods (elimination or final utilisation). Waste
handled by our company derives from producers operating at different locations
in the country
Waste treatment:
In
the course of our waste treatment activities we take over with transfer of
ownership a certain part of the waste (especially oily, diluted sludge) with
the necessary permits and apply our own handling technologies to treat it in
our premises at 33 Monostorpályi Street, Debrecen. The treatment of waste which
we do not have the permits to take over and handle is carried out with the
co-operation of subcontractors having the necessary takeover and treatment
permits.

At our waste treatment premises at 33 Monostorpályi Street,
in Debrecen our hazardous waste treatment activities are implemented according
to our takeover and treatment permits issued by the Environmental Protectorate
of Trans-Tiszanian Region. This waste treatment (waste utilisation) activity
covers mainly phase separation, done partly by gravity sedimentation, centrifugation, and
partly by chemical coagulation and flotation.

The mobile filter container developed by our company as
well as the two-phase mobile centrifuge produced by KRÖGGEL make it possible
for low oil content industrial waste water and hazardous waste to be treated at
the site of origin. As a result of the treatment of waste with high water
content, water is cleaned to satisfy the limiting values in the 204/2001
government regulation and oily sludge waste is produced suitable for further
utilisation.
The
treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste which we do not have the permits
to take over and handle is carried out with the co-operation of
subcontractors. In such cases waste is
taken over and treated by a waste treatment organisation with whom we have a
contractual connection and who have the necessary takeover and treatment

In cases when waste is taken
over with the co-operation of subcontractors, KRISTÁLY-99 Ltd takes part in the
waste treatment process as a primary contractor and transportation company.
Collection of waste and hazardous waste:

According to our collection permit, we implement
(during our collection routes) the takeover of hazardous and non-hazardous
waste of small quantity for further treatment.
Waste transportation:
KRISTÁLY-99 Ltd has executed
hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation tasks since 1995.
Our motor vehicle fleet
consists of several types of transport vehicles with different cubic
capacities, a certain part of which is rented and another part is in the
possession of our company. In the course of a larger scale task, we are able to
double the average transportation capacity of our company, as it happened
during the waste transportation order commissioned by Nitrokémia Corp., when we
implemented road transportation of 200-250 tons of waste a day, excluding any environmental pollution effects.
According to our carrier and
waste transportation permit, our motor vehicle fleet is suitable for
environment-safe implementation of consignment transportation in bulk, in
containers, in sewage tanks or in lumps as well.
Damage to ship
Having the necessary
permits, a motor vehicle fleet, subcontractors and a significant amount of professional experience, we are able to
implement ”damage to ship” tasks. That is, we are able to decrease, relieve or
prevent, after the alarm, the already existing environmental
damage in the region of Eastern Hungary. Our company was
employed in the course of “damage to ship” events by several well-known
organisations such as MOL Rt (Hungarian Oil and Gas Corp.), the Environmental
Protectorate of Trans-Tiszanian Region and the Trans-Tisza District Water
Authority. Our clients were satisfied with the quick, professional and
unhesitant actions, the existing environmental damage was prevented in each
case.

2.) Environment
protection expertise and professional assistance
We
offer expertise and professional assistance services in the field of all environmental elements. Within this activity, we undertake
the following specific tasks:
-Professional assistance for
companies (especially tasks concerning hazardous waste management, water quality
conservation and air quality control). Our
aim is to ensure that our partners comply with environment protection
regulations at the lowest possible costs.
- Preliminary or post-implementation professional analysis of environment protection investments. We
have been responsible for judging the applications to the Central Environmental
Fund (KKA), and later to the Environmental Ministry Foundation (KAC) and we
have been in charge of the inspection of implemented projects in approximately 700
separate cases.
-Preparation of site
permit applications, and full organization of the procedure.
-Preparation of
Regional and Industrial Water Quality Damage Prevention Plans, permit applications
and maintenance. (Commissioned by the Trans-Tisza District Water Authority, our
company was in charge of the preparation of plans concerning nearly the entire
operational area.)
-Implementation of Partial and detailed environment protection inspection.
- Implementation of environmental conditions surveys.

impact study

4.) TANK
CLEANING
Tightness inspection, periodical technical inspection
of tanks, putting into operation, arrangement of continuance and termination
permission granting procedures, satisfying the specifications of IKM regulation
No 11/1994. (III. 25.) and the modifying IKM regulation No 44/1995. (IX. 15.). Within
this field of activity, we undertake:
.
- Cleaning
of combustible liquids and fusion storage tanks and transport and treatment of the hazardous waste originating from the
cleaning process. We are able to implement on-site
treatment with the application of two-phase
decanter centrifuge (nominal capacity: 5-10 m3 per hour), by
which the quantity of dangerous waste produced and the transportation and
elimination costs can be significantly reduced. We are in possession of
equipment suitable for the purification of the oily waste water. (see paragraph
1.)
- Disposal and standardisation of
tanks.
- On-site cleaning and de-scaling
of heat exchange equipment, with technological implements providing hot
water at 500 bar pressure and 50-98 0C, using chemicals if necessary.
- Tightness inspection, wall thickness measurement and interim technical inspection of tanks.
- Repair and complete overhaul of tanks (including painting,
reconstruction), under own construction or general contracting.
- Cleaning and camcorder observation of
channels of oily industrial waste water and rainwater systems.
We
possess official permits issued by the Technical Safety Inspectorate for
carrying out the above mentioned activities (Certificate number: No II MTO
150/2005, valid until 28th June 2008.)

- Béla Kurucz, member of KRISTÁLY-99 Ltd. and the managing director of the
company. A chemical engineer and professional environment protection engineer.
He has worked as a leader of environment protection companies for 16 years,
including the post of a director of the Environmental Protectorate of
Trans-Tiszanian Region. He is in possession of environment protection expert permit in
the area of water quality protection and protection against harmful
effects of hazardous waste and a permit
providing authority to carry out inspections in water quality protection
and protection against harmful effects of hazardous waste.
- Attila Bozsik, member of
KRISTÁLY-99 Ltd, the full-time deputy
managing director
of the company, an agricultural engineer
and specialist environment
protection engineer. He is in possession of environment protection expert permit in
the area of air quality control and protection against harmful
effects of hazardous waste and a permit
providing authority to carry out inspections in water quality protection, protection
against harmful effects of hazardous waste, air quality control, soil
conservation and noise protection as well.
- Gyula Fancsik, hazardous waste transport and takeover
branch manager A certificated chemist and specialist corrosion engineer. He
is in possession of environment protection expert permit in the area of protection against
harmful effects of hazardous waste.
- György Lugosi, manager of the tank cleaning branch, who
possesses 16 years of practical experience in the specialist area, the permits
necessary for carrying out the tasks, and the specialist authority
certificates.
6. Quality assurance and environment centralised
administration system
Kristály-99 Ltd carries out its activities according to a quality assurance and environment centralised administration system
built up according to the EN ISO 9001
and the EN ISO 14001 standards and attested by TÜV Rheinland EUROQUA Ltd.
